F5CC is owned and operated by Megan Perra, a visual storyteller from Portland, OR, USA. She was educated at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan) in Canada, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and discovered her love of printmaking. Her passion for art and science stems from a single, driving curiosity about the natural world. She uses visual art and various storytelling techniques to express the dramas of ecology and the beauty of research in a way that makes science accessible to a broader audience.

Her current work focuses on the intersection of hunting and ecology, and how traditional hunting practices can provide valuable information and datasets.

She is currently an artist in residence at the Westfjords Artist Residency in Thingeyri, Iceland where she is working on a larger video project. In August, she will be attending the Voices of the Wilderness Artist Residency in Misty Fjords National Monument.
